Robert (Bob) Mellor, a pilot, professor, and poet, died after a full life at the age of 93 with his devoted wife Ann at his side. Bob served as a pilot in the Air Force during the Korean War era. After the war he earned both a Masters and PhD in plant physiology. He was a respected botany professor at the University of Arizona for many years, earning the honor of outstanding Teacher of the Year, and sharing both his knowledge and his sense of humor with thousands of students over the decades. Bob delighted in life and in pursuing his curiosity, whether it was in the natural world or in traveling to new and beautiful places.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Ann; children Tim, Todd, and Robin and stepchildren Gaye, Dawn, and Gaylen and their spouses; and many treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
