Ronald William Geuder, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend joined his Risen Lord and his daughter, Jenny, on April 2, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on August 22, 1945 (Olean, New York). Ron lived a life defined by quiet strength, steady character, and deep devotion to the people he loved.
He found joy in the simple life: a good ballgame, a familiar story, and time spent with family. Ron was an avid fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Green Bay Packers and all University of Arizona Wildcats sports, cheering them on with genuine enthusiasm.
Ron carried himself with humility and integrity. He offered wisdom without judgment, kindness without expectation, and love without conditions. He was a man who gave to charities, churches and those in need. His generosity reflected his belief in helping others whenever he could.
Ron also treasured the friendships that shaped his life, especially his lifelong bond with his best friend, Joe Smith (Ruby). They have been by each other’s side since high school, standing together through countless trials, triumphs, and seasons of life. Their friendship was a testament to loyalty, resilience, and the rare kind of brotherhood that endures across decades.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 plus years, Sandi; his son, Matthew (Alpha); and his grandchildren, Khristofer (Nola), Guy, and Jules. Also survived by great-granddaughter, Adelina. Shasta, his beloved dog, will miss him and the treats he gave her. Further survived by sisters, Sandra Hartman (Gary), Cindy Wagner; sisters-in-law, Gloria Geuder-Palmer and Veda Vandervest; brothers-in-law, Gary Vandervest (Edelee) and Steve Vandervest (Cindy); brother, Gary Shattuck (Gail) as well as many nephews, nieces and friends, all of whom will forever cherish his humor, his guidance, and the warmth he brought into their lives. Ron was proceeded in death by his parents, Paul Geuder and Josephine Geuder, siblings, Lynn, Bruce, and Delores, and other cherished family members.
A service honoring Ron’s life will be held at South Lawn Cemetery on April 09, 2026, with a viewing at 10:00 am followed by service and burial.
Above all things he wished to be remembered for, the most important was his identity as a follower of Christ. He aimed to live his life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus.
Though his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, his legacy of love, resilience, generosity, loyalty, and the joy he found in the people and teams he supported will live on in every story shared and every memory held close.
