Rosaline M. Witt

Rosaline Marie Witt, 85, died Sunday, June 5, 2011. Mrs. Witt was born December 16, 1926 in Fowler, Michigan. She was the middle daughter of Clarence and Edna Damon. Rosaline attended school in Fowler, graduating valedictorian of her 1942 class.

Rosaline married Frederick Carl Witt March 8 1946; and the recently celebrated their 65th anniversary at Amber Lights with many family members flying / driving to Tucson, plus their city friends & residents of the retirement center.

Fred & Rosaline's only son, Robert was born March 19, 1947, in St.John's, MI. In 1958, the family of three moved to AZ for Rosaline's health. While in Tucson, Roz worked for Miller, Pitt & Feldman law firm; Judge Carruth; TEP; and Pima Community College. She was recognized as AZ Legal Secretary of the Year; and was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church and Sweet Adelines.

Rosaline is survived by her youngest sister, Elaine Phinney, of UT; her husband Fred; son Bob (Judy) of Scottsdale; 3 grandsons: Eric (Elizabeth) of CA; Sean (Barbie) of Flagstaff; and Ryan (Nicole) of NC; and four great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 11 at East Lawn. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Casa De La Luz Hospice.
