Rose Mary Ortiz (known to her readers by the pen name “Danni Rose”) passed away on July 6 at the age of 71. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Rose graduated from Monroe High School in 1952 and attended college at Saint Catherine University. She had a long career in the financial sector followed by an early retirement and move to Tucson, Arizona where she pursued her lifelong dream of being a romance novelist.

She is survived by her parents, her brothers and their spouses, her niece and nephews Angela, John (spouse Jena), Michael, Stephen, and Alejandro, a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dearest friends Pat Barthle and Kim Dobos among many others.
Rose’s family offers deep thanks to her friend Pat who accompanied her through recent cancer care.
We are very saddened by the loss of Rose but celebrate who she was among us and are finding our way to gratitude that she now rests in God’s peace.
