Sophia Rochelle Cox

We lost our sweet Sophia Rochelle Cox on October 24th in Tucson, AZ. She was born March 26th,1987 to Denise (Necee) Silvius and Ron Cox in Victorville, California. She spent the early part of her childhood years in Eugene, Oregon. Her returning visits to Oregon were a memorable part of her childhood. She spent the rest of her life with her family in Tucson, Arizona. Sophia attended Flowing Wells High School with the class of 2006. Soon thereafter, while starting her own family, she became a certified CNA from 2007 to 2014, she loved caring for her patients as much as her patients loved her. During her too-brief life she remained passionate about family and was the first and most eager to throw herself into participating and excited to be a part of the planning of any of the festivities, particularly Thanksgiving, as it was always very near and dear to heart.

Sophia loved to cook, relished learning new recipes and trying them out. If a dish was prepared that sparked her taste buds, she’d always reach out and get every detail of the recipes. Everyone could always depend on her to prepare their favorite dish for birthday dinners. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, nothing pleased her more than seeing the joy and anticipation on her children’s faces even as they awakened her bright and early Christmas mornings.

She also loved listening to Christian music, preparing her various smoothies and grocery shopping. Her three beloved children will always remember how she stopped at nothing to make their birthdays special, memorable, magical.

She is survived by her mother Denise Silvius, her brothers Anthony and Aaron Cox, her children Nathaniel, Jayden and Daisy Morris, her partner Patrick Morris, her maternal grandmother Jean Silvius, her in-laws Pat and Becky Morris as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
