Stan Kennedy, 83, passed away on July 5, 2017in Surprise, Arizona. He was born on November 5, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of John and Fern Kennedy.
He served in the Navy during the Korean conflict from 1951 to 1955. While still in the Navy, he married Linda Hessick in 1952. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary on December 31. After his tour in the Navy, he started his new life in construction as a plasterer for a few short years; then became a general contractor. He worked as a general contractor in Tucson until retirement in 1999. Upon retirement, Stan and Linda moved to Surprise, Arizona and were avid travelers throughout the United States and Europe, making good use of their motor home and timeshares.
In addition to Stan's parents, he was predeceased by their daughter, Cindy Ann, sister June Adams and brother Tom Kennedy Surviving, in addition to his wife, Linda, are his daughter Laurie Lamond (Steve) and son John Kennedy (Kelly), five grandchildren; David Berraras (Anjelica), Christina Barreras, Jessica Cornejo, Alaina McNulty, Sealynn Paulick (Ben), eleven great grand children and one great great grandchild.
