

Sue was born August 7, 1953, in White Salmon, WA, to Lloyd (Frankie) and Eva (Hartley) Norris. Sue was raised by Adolph and Elva Bomesberger.
Sue graduated from Davis High School in Yakima, WA, in 1971. After high school Sue worked in the hospitality industry until she married Ron Abel in 1974. Ron and Sue were married for 50 years.
Sue was a homemaker and raised four kids.
After the kids were grown, Sue enjoyed putting together puzzles, bird watching, crocheting, and attending church. Sue especially loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
Sue was an active member of Valley Christian Church for 20 years and truly loved having tea with her Secret Sisters group.
Sue is preceded in death by her birth parents Lloyd (Frankie) and Eva (Hartley) Norris, her parents who raised her Adolph and Elva Bomesberger, as well as brothers and sisters James Polites, Juanita Norris, Naome Norris, Wilma (JoAnn) Fletcher and Sandra Allen. She is survived by her husband Ron Abel and four children Gabriel Abel, Miranda (Abel) Harris, Jeremiah Abel and Christopher Abel, as well as three grandchildren, Violet Brannon, Jaxon Harris and Farah Harris; as well as brothers and sisters Frankie Norris, Jim Norris, Leo Paul Norris and Donna Hemken.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 12pm – 12:30pm at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery located at 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A funeral service will follow from 12:30pm – 1:00pm at the same location, with Jesse Craig officiating, followed by a graveside service at 1:30pm. A reception will be held at Valley Christian Church (located at 5968 East Fairmount Street, Tucson, AZ 85712) at 2pm.
