

Theresa was born on December 23, 1954, in Bluffton, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Tom Hoopingarner, on August 3, 1979, and together they built a life rooted in love, family, and devotion.
Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher whose life was filled with love, color, and creativity. She loved traveling, reading, cheering on University of Arizona sports, hippos, storytelling and the color purple. Most of all, she will be remembered for her boundless energy and love for life, her fighting spirit, her caring heart and thoughtfulness toward others, her bright smile, and her creativity. She brought warmth, joy, and light to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Hoopingarner; her son, Steve Hoopingarner; and her daughter-in-law, Becky Fox. She is also survived by her parents, Mary Ann and Dale Edris; her mother-in-law, Pat Hoopingarner; her beloved grandchildren, Dalee, Braxton, Ainzlee, Callee, Emlee, and Finlee; and her cherished dog, Ford.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Edris, and her father-in-law, Lee Hoopingarner.
Services will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.
A public visitation will take place on Monday, December 8, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Catalina Chapel at East Lawn.
A private graveside burial for family and close friends will be held at East Lawn Palms Cemetery at a later date.
Theresa's friends and family will forever carry her love with them. She was endlessly cherished, deeply appreciated, and loved beyond measure. Her absence leaves an ache that will be felt always, and she will be missed more than words can express.
