Born on December 2nd, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tom was the son of the late Donald and Leila Haack. He grew up in Milwaukee but developed his career in civil engineering in Tucson, Arizona starting in 1976.
Tom was a devoted father to Robert Haack, Scott Haack, and Michelle Mirkiewicz, and Grandfather to Peyton Haack, Haley Haack, Alexis Mirkiewicz, and Brian Mirkiewicz who all survive him along with Alan and Barbara Chesney of Maine.
Tom built a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. He was a committed father to his children, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and milestones. He adored his grandchildren.
Tom inherited his passion for the game of golf from his father and although unsuccessful at transferring that passion to his own children, was a charter member and devoted board member to the Fred Enke Men’s Club for many years. He found solace in sawdust and enjoyed nothing more than creating with wood and other construction materials never fearing even the largest home project. In his retirement years, Tom found joy in cooking and developed a passion for culinary exploration and experiences.
Tom leaves behind a void that can never be filled. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving family and friends. Although we mourn his loss, we take comfort in the knowledge that he has found eternal peace.
A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held as soon as the time and place can be determined. Please reach out to Scott Haack at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) or 602-577-5697 for further details.
In our hearts, Thomas will live on forever loved, and deeply missed.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.funerariadelangeltucson.com for the Haack family.
