Toni Stalker 59, of Tucson, was taken from us abruptly and unexpectedly on November 25, 2012. She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, on March 21, 1953, graduated from Flowing Wells High School in Tucson in 1971, from the University of Arizona in 1975, and from Florida State University with a nursing degree in 1994. She was a longtime DaVita Dialysis teammate, having worked at the Tucson West unit for ten years and in the Quincy, Florida, unit for several years before. She is survived by her husband, Dave; her mother, Maggi; her brothers, Will, Jim, John and Kerry; her stepdaughters, Ali, Eve and Char and many nieces and nephews and their families. Toni died as she lived – having fun and helping others. She was never afraid to accept new challenges and go on new adventures. Her interests included quilting, sewing, reading, kayaking/canoeing, bicycle- and motorcycle-riding and hiking. She never had a harsh word for anyone and was loved by her family, friends, coworkers and patients. As an organ donor, she was able to help another life through the gift of her liver. We miss her dreadfully and will love her always. There will be a Life Celebration at the San Pedro Chapel, 5230 E. Ft. Lowell Road, in Tucson, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in her memory to The Kidney TRUST www.kidneytrust.org. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE.
