Verna J. Carrillo

Verna had an infectious smile, fun loving spirit, and a heart for serving others. She dedicated her entire career of 20 plus years to care for children and adults with special needs. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Born September 17, 1955 in Grand Junction, Colorado, she was the daughter of Vernon Smith and the late Nelda Jean Smith.

She is survived by her three daughters, Shawna Halbur (Matt),Ginger Switzer (Don), Amanda Carrillo; a brother, Lauren Smith; six grandchildren, Christina (CJ), Brittani (Britty Britt), Jakob (Jakey), Daxton (Dax), Matthew (Lil Matt) and Jordan (Booty Boo - JJ).

Celebration of Life services will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Sunday, April 17th, 2016, at Tucson Womens Club located at 6245 E. Bellevue St.

Tucson, AZ 85712. With a Reception from 11:00 - 2:00 PM, also at the Tucson Womens Club.

The family requests that attendees wear bright spring colors in honor of Verna. Memorials may be made to the attached go fund me site in lieu of flowers.
