Mr. Walter Nicolas Denton "Nick" died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday, November 7, 2014 in Tucson at the age of 78. Nick is survived by wife, Susan Jane Denton; children, Susan DeEtte Denton and William Kenneth Denton; sibling, Annette Lane Kent of Honolulu, HI. Nick was born on June 18, 1936 in Denver, Colorado to Gus and Maxine Denton. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1958 with a degree in Labor Economics; followed by a post-graduate degree from Trinity University, San Antonio, with a Master of Science in Hospital Administration in 1970. He married Susan Jane Neece, his college sweetheart in 1957. After moving to Tucson, Nick held several positions, including assistant hospital administrator at Tucson Medical Center, restaurant owner, and real estate broker. His children remember him as a generous and hard-working father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Nick was an accomplished skier and golfer. A Funeral is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY AND CEMETERY, 5801 E. Grant Road.
