(Eric) Wayne Curtis Jouse was born in Chicago, IL, on July 30, 1953. He passed onto his next phase of his journey on January 25, 2025. Eric was one of a kind. After earning a Ph.D. with a concentration in Nuclear Engineering, he taught at the University of Arizona and contracted with Raytheon “to help our country and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression.” After acquiring several patents while working at Raytheon, he retired in 2018. After retirement, he lived his best life surrounded by love and friendship and 6 furbabies whom he adored. While work was important to Eric, his greatest passion was 4-wheeling and building Scouts (Internationals) so he could camp on top mountains and get to places few people could visit. He will be sorely missed by all who had the fortuity to have met him. Eric was an animal-enthusiast and a nature-dweller. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cat Hermitage in Tucson, AZ in Eric’s honor would be so appreciated.
A graveside service for Wayne will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 3:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.
