William C. Hines

William "Bill" Clifford Hines 75, died October 27, 2011 in Tucson, Arizona from Alzheimer's disease. Bill was a determined, fun-loving man and he was able to accomplish all that he set out to do. Bill was born October 21, 1936 in Peoria, Illinois. He attended Purdue University and completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Bradley University in 1960. He worked at Control Data Corporation in Minnesota. He moved to Arizona and worked for IDS Financial Services before opening his own business, Hines Financial Services. He retired in 1996 allowing he and his wife to spend their winters in Tucson and summers in their home in Pinetop, AZ. Bill was an avid University of Arizona Wildcat fan. He loved traveling, classic cars, golfing, Elvis Presley and 50's Rock and Roll Music. Bill had a wonderful sense of adventure and valued the special times when he entertained his grandchildren in Pinetop. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bernadine Hines. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sherrill; his four children, Jeffrey (Julie) Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Judy Mesa, AZ, Jeanne Bloomington, Minnesota and Jennifer Mesa, AZ; sister, Virginia Schramm Washington; brother, Richard Hines Kansas; five grandchildren, Michelle and Daniel Hines, Alyssa and Abbie Graham and Augustus Hines-Rotter and several nieces and nephews. Bill will be lovingly remembered for his charming smile, his outgoing personality and all the laughter he brought to our lives. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
