It is with great sadness that I received the news about Zee‘s passing. Zee was very influential for me early on in my career. She took me in and fed me and was always super supportive and really just a genuinely great human being. My first year is an administrator she gave me a silver teapot which I still have and use. I will definitely miss her smile, the world needs more people like Zee. She was the pillar of kindness.  My deepest condolences to her family.

Zee and I worked together at Park Villa care center in the late 90's and early 2000. She was a great Food Service Director. Always stayed on budget! Great food. The cleanest kitchen. Well loved by the residents and her team. Truly enjoyed working with her. May her family find peace and joy in the wonderful memories thru her lifetime.  Anna de Jesus.

Our Deepest sympathy, Zewditu was the earliest and most loyal friend we had in Tucson. We have been friends for over four decades. We loved her dearly. She lit up every house she entered.  She lightened the load of every one in the room.  Her friendship is enduring. We pray to the Lord, to dispel all sorrows, and change darkness into light and let her enter the garden of happiness, cleanse her with the most pure water, and grant her to behold The splendors of God on the loftiest mount. We first encountered Zewditu five years ago at a fundraising event for Tucson Medhane Alem Church. Her hospitable reception and caring personality are tattooed in our memories. When she detailed the history of Keranyo Medhanealem (arguably the first church in Addis) and Yeka Michael churches (the neighborhoods where she grew up, and where we attended Sunday school as kids), it was like a spiritual song to our ears. What an amazing person and, above all, a motherish persona! We cherish every moment we shared together and the memories we have of her. They will last forever.   We praise God for allowing us to meet her, befriend her and give us the opportunity to worship at a church that she helped build.  Even though we were not able to spend time with her as much as we would like, we take comfort in knowing that we will see each other in a better place.

Condolences for the departure of Zewditu Alemu. May the Lord repose her pure soul in the paradise of joy, in the bosom of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. May He also comfort and grant peace and tranquility to her family, friends, and loved ones.

My last memory with ZEWDITU in a Los Angeles on Rai’s Birthday. She was happy to see Zachary and Makbel. Which she is always asking me about their well being and she misses them so much. 
She was a wonderful loving mother, my loving  Aunt and pillar to our family. I can’t still phantom the idea of she passed away.
Her smile, love and affection is always engraved in my heart.

When someone that is dear to our heart leaves us, we are often at a loss of words. Zewditu always greeted us with a smile on her face and treated us like part of her family. We admired her dedication to her family and the love and integrity she displayed when meeting us and others. Zewditu always made us feel welcome when visiting her home in the last 20 years. At some time, we all have to go where we came from but we cherish the precious moments and memories we had together. Zewditu we will always miss you and keep you and your family in our prayers.

“Mrs. Z” was my very dear friend’s mother. I will always remember her as a kind, Godly, and beautiful person , as well as an excellent mother

We knew Zewditu since early 1980s, and she was a very beatiful person inside and outside. Zewditu was caring, loving person, and wanted her community stay close and support and help at time of needs. We will miss her terribly, and our deepest condolences.
