

My dearest, "Hubin", Allen, the Love of My Life, passed away at home in my arms, Friday, April 23, 2010. Allen was born June 30, 1946 in Ogden, Utah to Warren and Norma Hamblin. The family moved to Olympia in 1959.
Allen had worked for Texaco/Olympia Oil & Wood as a Tanker Truck Driver for 31 years retiring at age 55 in 2001. Allen was always a Cowboy at Heart and enjoyed his country music. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, V.F.W. and Turtle Club. Allen loved to restore classic cars from the inside out. He also enjoyed his daily coffee at Baileys and later Frankie's for many years. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, story telling and his kind Heart.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Adrienne; son Kendal (Beverly); his sidekicks Roonie and Reggie; brothers, Norman Barnes, Donald Hamblin; sisters Kathleen (Gary) Holt, Hope (Sherman) Dixon, Sally Hamblin, Rosemary (Mike) Burke; numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Warren.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 29, at 1:00p.m. Mills & Mills Funeral Home. Memorials may be left online at www.millsandmillsfuneralhome.com. Immediately following the services a reception will be held at Frankie's Restaurant & Lounge on Lower Level, 3663 Pacific Avenue SE, Olympia, Washington. Donations can be made to the Pancreatic Research Center at Virgina Mason.
