Beulah Gertrude Hobbs Barrass

Beulah Gertrude Hobbs Williams Barrass passed to her reward in Heaven on February 29, 2016. She was greeted by Jesus and many loved ones including her beloved husband, Russell Onslow Barrass. We know she is rejoicing and worshiping her Savior and Lord.

Beulah was born on April 27, 1911 in her parent's home near Stockton, Missouri. Her parents were Silas Austin Hobbs and Carrie Minnie Hobbs. She married Bluford Williams in 1928. Their son James Kent Williams born on March 14, 1931. They moved to California and were later divorced..

On March 14, 1944, Beulah married Russell Barrass in Merced, California. Almost a year later Marilyn Eva Barrass was born on March 13, 1945, They moved into the house on Olive Avenue on October 31, 1945 and it was home for over 40 years. John Richard Barrass came along on May 2, 1946. In 1989, Russell and Beulah moved to Yreka, California to be near their daughter, Marilyn Pittenger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, step-son, Stanley Barrass, son, Kent Williams, son-in-law Ken Pittenger and all of her siblings.

She leaves behind her daughter, Marilyn, son, John, step-son Ralph, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Mom loved the Lord, and enjoyed serving by her gift of hospitality to family and friends. Everyone enjoyed her tasty meals, awesome pies and cobblers and home-made biscuits and gravy! We will miss her, but are looking forward to our reunion with her in heaven.
