

Olympia, Washington - Billie Ouida (Eagan) Peterson of Olympia passed away peacefully at her home on February 5, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends. Up until the end Billie shared her kindness and wonderful smile with everyone. Billie was born in Marianna, Arkansas to Andrew and Violet (Gentry) Eagan on December 27, 1936.
She was the youngest of seven children: Reba Wallace, Agnes Black, Rector Eagan, Evelyn Jones, Wendell Eagan and Robert Eagan. She worked at a diner and the local movie theater in Marianna until she married her first husband William Roberts Sr. They married in 1952 and were blessed with three children William, Sandra and Sheri.
They divorced in 1965 and she then met the love of her life, Howard Peterson Sr. Together they had two daughters, Phyllis and Marianne, and she gained one stepson Howard Peterson Jr. This blended family went on to enjoy many moves throughout the United States and Germany before finally settling down in Washington State. Billie only ever wanted to be a wife, mother and grandmother which she proudly accomplished.
She had 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She loved her family immensely. In her younger years she played the flute and piano, was a majorette in the school band, read many romance novels, played cards with friends and family, bowled and loved all family gatherings as well as any animal, especially cats.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, many aunts and uncles, all her siblings, two daughters (Sheri and Marianne) and her special husband Howard (Pete). She was kind, gracious, had a smile for everyone, said thank you darlin to many and was loved by all. She is survived by her son William (Brenda) Roberts, daughters Sandi Monson, Phyllis (Vincent) Price and stepson Howard Peterson Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater, WA. Viewing is at 11 a.m. with the service beginning at noon.
