Bryan Douglas Conwell, a very loving husband, brother, and friend died peacefully at his home on August 8th, 2021 from lung cancer. he was the 3rd born of Myrle and Harold Conwell. His siblings are Gary Conwell (deceased), Sharon King of Olympia, WA, Julie Conwell of Lacey, WA, and Mark Conwell of Lacey, WA. Bryan grew up on Hicks Lake and loved all water activities. His dad taught him about fishing, motor boats and also how to water ski. This let to water ski competitions, fast boats, and many life long lake friends. Bryan also loved basketball and would play for hours day and night.
Bryan attended Timberline High School. He could be found most mornings in the library reading his newspaper before school and playing basketball anytime he could. During this time Bryan started earning money cutting firewood, then working in his family's Littlerock lumber mill, then starting his own logging business.
Bryan married Kim Oliveria in 1998 and together with step son Michael they made their home in Lacey, Bryan loved the outdoors, camping, golfing, quads, and enjoyed many trips to the dunes with family and friends. In 2000 Bryan and Kim built their home in Rainier "where there wasn't so much traffic" and enjoyed the peaceful quiet in the woods. Bryan still loved to cut and stack firewood, testament to that is our "mountain" of split firewood at home. Bryan was an avid Sonics, Seahawks, and Mariners sports fam ... never really recovering from the loss of his favorite Sonics team.
Bryan is survived by his wife of 23 years Kim; step son Mike Oliveria and daughter Ashley McGuire; brother Mark Conwell; sisters Sharon King (Olympia), Julie Conwell (Lacey); nephew Nick Nuss (Olympia).
Bryan is preceded in death by his mother Myrle (1922), father Harold (2003), and his brother Gary (1997).
We will always lovingly remember Bryan's quiet nature and steadfast beliefs, always in our hearts. We will forever miss the love and fun he added to our lives.
