Charlotte was born November 4, 1946, to Stan and Viola Rowe in Tacoma, Washington. She was their first daughter and was later joined by sister Gladys. The family lived in the home built by her dad in Milton. The home is still in the family and is now owned by Gladys and her husband Jerry.
Charlotte graduated from Fife High School in 1965, and was a Majorette on the drill team. After graduating, she attended Centralia College where she met the love of her life at a dance. Rick and Charlotte were married on February 11, 1967 in Edgewood, Washington. They began 33 wonderful years together in Olympia.
Charlotte and Rick welcomed their first son, Steve, into the world in June of 1972. Shawn joined the family in February of 1974 and the family was complete. Steve and Shawn have great memories from their childhoods and both Rick and Charlotte were always involved with everything they did.
Charlotte lived her 64 years to the fullest and touched a lot of peoples lives. Even though she was taken from us much too soon, she will live on in all of our hearts forever. Her legacy lives on with her children and grand children. Ten years after her beloved husbands passing, they are now reunited and watching over all of us. Every day from this point forward marks a new beginning for them and for every one of us. Let’s not forget what they have taught us and make the most of every moment and opportunity we are given. Charlotte will always be with us, listening to Rick say “It’s a Beautiful Thing”.
