Desirea’s early years were spent on the pacific coasts of California. Her education began promptly at the age of 3 with help from her loving sister, moving onto public school at the age of 5. In 2011, God’s abounding love and protection brought her and her family to the Evergreen State.
In Washington, she attended Toledo Elementary before transitioning to the Classical Conversations homeschooling program. While enrolled in the Classical Conversations program, Desirea participated in numerous educational excursions and planted seeds for life-long friendships. She was also deeply committed to her community, volunteering alongside her family. Desirea was active in sports, playing middle school softball and high school soccer, before focusing her efforts solely on her education. She participated in the Running Start program, receiving both her high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree from Centralia College, leaving her with endless options of career paths to choose from.
Desirea’s love for God, adventure, family, and friends, was revealed as she navigated her way through her young adult life. She sought joy from the simplicities of life- nature, animals, meaningful connections, and being a God-fearing woman. Psalms 23:1 states “The Lord is my Shepard; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; leads me beside peaceful streams.” Desirea knew what it meant to live a life that exemplified these words; never taking any moment nor person for granted, but as an opportunity to strengthen her faith amongst God's beautiful creation.
Desirea’s deep rooted Christian faith was shaped by her mother’s unwavering faith in the Lord. We rest in assurance that she is now in Heaven- completely healed, whole, and at peace. Her abrupt season of suffering is no more. No more pain, no more worry, no more tears. With her premature passing, let us find comfort in the reminder God gave us in Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts.” She is now at rest, in the arms of her Savior.
Desirea is survived by her devoted partner Ronin Schoolcraft; her loving parents, Michael and Sherry Johnson; her four compassionate siblings Osmin James, Joevanie Montalvo, Davinagrace Ramon, and Soraya Ramon; and her beloved niece Alaya Ortiz.
