

Donald was raised in Omaha until the family moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 1952. He attended Cathedral of Epiphany Grade School and Heelan High School in Sioux City. He received an Associate in Building Construction in November 1965 from Iowa State Tech Institute at Ames. His career started in the field when he worked for the Bellingham Department of Transportation from December 1965 to December 31, 1967. He move to Olympia and did mapping from aerial photographs until May 1974. He then did more mapping for the Department of Natural Resources until June 1979 transferring to the Department of Revenue. There his work involved legal ownership by Centrally Assessed companies and Railroad Right-of-ways. In 1975, Don purchased a house in Tumwater. His parents moved to Centralia and his father, Frank, died in March 1990. His mother, Kay, them lived with Don until her death in May 1993.
Don was active with Friendship Circle program for its 20 year life (this program was to give religious experience to developmentally disabled adults). He was team leader, Religious leader and co-coordinator. They transported people and wheelchairs to Church services and other programs. Don was a greeter at St. Michael Catholic Church in Olympia and at the Tumwater Satellite. He also was in the choir, Minister of Table and a Council member. In addition, Don was a treasurer for Independent Order of Foresters for two years. His interests included Model Railroading, computers and electronics.
He is survived by his brother Robert (Barbara) Jenner and one niece and two nephews of Aloha, Oregon and his sister Diane (Dr. Thomas) Gaither and two nephews of Prospect, Pennsylvania.
