

Donna was born to Benhardt and Alta Peterson on October 2, 1932 in Ballard, Wa. Three years later her only sibling Jack was born.
Donna attended Boulevard Grade School and Anchorage (Alaska) grade school, graduating from Highline High School in Seattle in 1950.
Following graduation Donna worked three years for Highline High School. After having her children, Donna worked for the Washington State Dept. of Licensing in various capacities starting in 1961 and retiring in 1990 from a Supervisory/Management position. Following retirement she worked for Emanuel Lutheran Church of Yelm, another state agency and a fabric store.
Donna married Charles R. Butler in 1952 and they divorced in 1976. Together they had four children.
Donna loved to travel both stateside and abroad and often went on great adventures with friends. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, china painting and photography. She enjoyed her countless friends that brought her great joy. And she was very proud of her family.
Donna is survived by her children: Cyndy Butler (Ed Ogle) of Wenatchee, Tim Butler of Yelm, Julie Hatfield (Shannon Hatfield) of Olympia, and Kathy Ridenour (John) of Elma; grandchildren: Jesse Autuchovich of Portland Oregon, Kiesha Whitley (Reese) of Wenatchee; four great grandchildren Elleah, Ryder, Emory, and Callen; brother Jack Peterson (Sandra) of Tatlayoko BC, Canada; and nieces and nephews also in BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
