She was the middle child of three, having an older brother, Cecil, and a younger brother, Jimmy. Georgia spent her entire life in the Olympia area. She attended Tumwater Schools as did all of her children. Georgia married Terry Roswall in 1969, they had three boys, Jeff, Joel, and Jonathan. She had a very strong bond and belief in family. She loved little kids, grandchildren, and people in general. Georgia would never compromise what she believed in. In 1991 Georgia married John Huber, who had five children, Chad, Clayte, Casey, Chey, and Summer. So there was a combined family of 8 children, no easy task.
Georgia worked as a sales representative for Nabisco, Nalleys, and later as a flight attendant for American Airlines. She worked there for 19 years, retiring in 2009 after acquiring Dementia/ Alzheimers. She loved her airline job and was a premier flight attendant. Her "million dollar" smile was contagious and warmly received by everyone who met her.
Georgia loved holidays, especially Easter and Christmas. There could be 40 people over and she would do it all, from Easter Egg Hunts, Christmas gifts, to doing all the cooking by herself. She was absolutely thrilled to be able to make people happy, and she loved it. Nobody could do it better. Everyone loved the great meals she put on, especially her potato rolls and apple pies were out of this world. She had a love for Jesus and the Bible. Watching her slowly wither away to the horrible disease that took her was hard to see. It was so contrary to the kind of person she was. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her giving heart will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Doris Bird and both of her brothers, Cecil and Jimmy. Her memorial service will be on June 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Capital Vision Church, 1775 Yew St., Olympia, WA 98506.
Until we meet again, may God bless you for what you gave to all of us.
*Special thanks to Diana Schreck, Jerri Sadie, and Kellee Savoie for their loving care of Georgia. Also would like to thank Teehjay and Angel Merton for their loving care of Georgia in their Adult Family Home.
