Koleta Marceline Minkler

Koleta Marceline (Marcy) Minkler was born June 18, 1929 in Schenectady, NY to Koleta and William Danahy. She passed away at St. Peter Hospital Saturday, November 24, 2012 surrounded by her family. In 1952 she married John R. (Jack) Minkler in Schenectady, NY. They moved to Olympia several years later and started their family. They had three children.

Marcy worked as a secretary at LP Brown Elementary prior to her many years working for the WSSDA where she retired. During her retirement she volunteered for 13 years at St. Peter Hospital. She enjoyed Olympia's waterfront, the Farmer's Market and being at the beach in Westport. She also enjoyed playing Bridge with her close friends, taking her grandchildren to Baskin Robbins and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

She had a sweet, kind, and loving spirit that everyone who met her will remember her by.

Marcy was survived by her son, Paul (Candi) Minkler, her daughters, Diane (Ron) Springer and Janice (Hugh) Minkler-Thurmond and grandchildren, PJ Minkler, Chelsea Minkler, Crystal (Jacob) Warren, Kara Springer, Courtney Springer, Heather (Alan) Busch, with 3 great grandchildren (triplets) due any day.

Marcy is preceded in death by her husband John. her brother William and her sister Catherine.
