Nellie Don MacDonald

Nellie MacDonald was born on July 10, 1940 in Escalante, Utah to Courtney and Nellie. She lost her battle with cancer at home on Friday, Jan 22, 2021. She came from a large family of 5 siblings: Doris, Tom, Elwood, Robin and Terry. When she was 12 years old, her family moved to Pocatello, Idaho. Her family was musically inclined. She not only enjoyed singing with family and church, but was involved in school musicals and later in life continued to perform in local community plays at the Drew Harvey Theatre in Yelm, WA. She was often asked to sing in weddings and at funerals. Nellie was a phenomenal singer and she enjoyed sharing her amazing voice with others.

Nellie was introduced to Robert through her friend and Robert’s Aunt, MaryAnne. They married on April 2, 1966 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They shared an wonderful life of over 50 years together. They have 5 children: Cherie (Christopher), Resi (Matthew), Heather (Jason), Robert (L’eah), John; 7 grandchildren: Courtney, Shannon, Elizabeth, K’Lee, Wyatt, Teresa, Austin; 1 great-grandchild: Antonietta.

Nellie was passionate about serving others and was kind to all she met. She was a loving mother, great friend and devoted wife.

She will be forever missed.

10:00 AM – Funeral Service by invitation only due to COVID restrictions and zoom option available upon request.

1:00 PM – Graveside Service held at Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater (5725 Little Rock Rd)
