Pedro or “Pete” is survived by his wife and best friend, Elfriede “Elfie” Feliciano; daughter, Maria “Judi” Feliciano (Robert); son, Peter “Pete” Feliciano (Donna); his four grandchildren, Navia (Joel), Olivia (Daniel), Alisa (Edward) and Taylor; and a huge family on the East Coast and in Puerto Rico.
Pedro was born on December 17th, 1939 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He joined the army at the age of 20 and met Elfie while stationed in Germany. They were married on March 16th, 1962 in Dachau, and just celebrated 59 years of marriage. Pedro was a proud Army Veteran, serving 22 years and two tours in the Vietnam War. After retiring, he went on to serve as a federal employee for 19 years with the United States Post Office.
Pedro or “Opi,” as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren, could light up a room with his spirit and wisecracks. He was a born conversationalist and truly the life of the party. His pride for his Puerto Rican heritage was obvious and he made sure to pass down his love of the island to his family. Pedro was an avid baseball fan and rooted for the Seattle Mariners. He loved watching old western movies, going on long drives with Elfie, and cooking his famous Puerto Rican rice. Most of all, Pedro loved his family.
A private memorial ceremony will be held for the immediate family.
