Rebecca Sue Wells

Becky was born on December 21, 1941, in Harrisburg Pennsylvania to Maxine and Norris Sheffler. Their family moved from Harrisburg Pennsylvania to Washington when Becky was a young child. Becky spent most of her childhood in Olympia which she made her lifelong home. She had 3 sisters: Beverly, Pamela, and Sheila. She graduated from Olympia High School in 1960 and met her husband Jerry Wells. They were married on October 22, 1960. Becky and Jerry raised their 3 children in Olympia. She worked in the grocery business and retired from Retail Clerks. Becky and Jerry enjoyed their retirement years split between Olympia and Yuma Arizona.

Though Becky loved dancing, fishing, entertaining, playing cards, cooking, and baking, her favorite role was being a grandma. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved being their Grammy, never failing to say, “oh say”.

Becky is survived by her sisters Beverly and Pamela, her children Butch (Julia), Willie (Virginia) and Andi (Frank), her 4 grandchildren Brandy (Terrence), Lindsey (Joel), Brock (Jerilyn), and Kendra (Austin) and her 8 great grandchildren Ayhden, Ryder, RemiLynn, Jaxton, Briella, Waylon, Wesley, and Bryson.

Becky’s celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the home of Frank and Andi May.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Becky to the Providence Hospice & Homecare Foundation.
