Robert Johnson (Bob) was born in Nebraska where he grew up and attended school. He passed away at St. Peter's Hospital after being ill for several years. Bob attended college (Creighton University and Iowa State) where he studied Engineering. His education was interrupted by four years of service in the army during WWII where he was part of the occupying forces in Japan. When he returned to the States he changed his degree to medicine and graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical School. Bob became a Board Certified Family Practitioner and had his practice in California. He married Joy and they had two children, son Warren and daughter Laura. Upon retiring Bob and Joy moved to Washington where they both enjoyed tennis and being active in the Lutheran Church. Throughout the moves and years, Bob was an avid Nebraska Football Fan and also enjoyed the oudoors both working in the yard as well as hiking. Bob and Joy moved to Olympia, WA to be closer to the grandkids. They also enjoyed road trips to visit son Warren and family. Bob is survived by his wife Joy, son Warren, daughter Laura, daughter-in-law Sharmie, son-in-law Tim and three grandchildren, Kaitlin, Trent and Cameron. He is also survived by his sister Ruth.
