Robert Harold York

Robert Harold York passed away on July 16, 2022 in Tonopah, Arizona. Robert was born on October 6, 1943 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, the 6th of 10 children born to Clyde Harvey York Sr. and Lucille Dovie York.

He moved back and forth between Orange, California and Guthrie Oklahoma until he joined the Navy at age 17. Robert was honorably discharged in 1962 after serving our country on the USS Helena.

Robert (Bobby) believed that family is first and foremost the most important part of life. He loved his wife more than life itself, taking weekend car trips, gardening, and listening to music and all the Seattle sports teams. He enjoyed going to the local casinos with his loving wife, playing golf with his brothers, bowling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lucille; brothers and sister, Chuck, Melba, Clyde and Danny; his daughter Debbie and his grandson Kevin.

Robert is survived by his wife, Cathy York of 47 years; daughter Julie Gaethke (Scott) and son Robert York (Kristina); along with 10 grandchildren: Kyle, Lisa, Shane, Jesse, Jana, Nicole, Taylor, Cassie, Gabriella, and Parker; and 15 Great-Grandchildren; brothers: Donald, Louie, John and sisters Carol and Linda, and many cousins and friends.
