

Scarlett was born on February 26, in Aberdeen, Washington to Raymond and Mildred Thieseen. She was raised in Hoquiam, Washington along with her brother Lionel Thiessen, and graduated from Weatherwax High School with the class of 1965 in Aberdeen. During her school years, Scarlett enjoyed cheerleading and was crowned Song Queen. Scarlett had an abundance of friends and was loved by all.
Scarlett was married to Richard Erickson for 38 years and was a wonderful, loving mother to four children. She spent most of those years as a homemaker caring for her family, extended family, foster children and anyone else she could help. Scarlett retired from Reeves Middle School as a Library Aide.
Scarlett loved cooking, sewing, gardening, reading, water skiing, camping, shopping and road trips. She was a very loving, nurturing, kind and generous woman and was a faithful Christian who shared God's love for others.
Scarlett is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Mildred Thiessen; her son, Aaron Erickson; and her grandson Trevor Smith.
Scarlett is survived by Richard Erickson; her children Angela Erickson-Smith, Ryan Erickson and Tatum Ponzoah; her daughter-in-laws, Celeste Erickson and Rachael Erickson; her grandchildren, Erika Erickson-Smith, Alicia Debeau, Joshua Erickson, Zachary Erickson, Carson Headrick, Zoie Erickson and Benjamin Ponzoah; and her brother Lionel Thiessen.
