Stacy Louise Sterling, 55, passed away on Monday September 17, 2012, at St Peter’s Hospital in Olympia. Stacy was the youngest of five children and the only girl born to Derwood and Lois Kennedy on August 27th 1957, in Phoenix, Arizona. She lived the majority of her life in various cities in California and Nevada until moving to Olympia in 1996. Stacy was married to her best friend, Vern “Buddy” Sterling for 37 years whom she met for the first time she was just a girl picking up Buddy’s football that made it her way. Years later they were set up on a blind date where they fell in love on the boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California. She loved everyone in her life, friends and family, with a passion that could move the mountains and an unconditional love that would withstand the test of time. In turn, everybody loved her and the sweet kindness that she possessed. Her daughters Nina and Jessica meant the world to her. Her three grandsons, Kenny, Jacob, and Cody and great-grandson, Aiden gave her so much joy to watch grow. She was blessed to have special relationships with each of her four brothers, Tony, Dale, Gary and Larry; and with all of her many nieces and nephews. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family and she will be truly, deeply missed by many.
