Remember toms laughter and how much we miss him and love him

I will remember Tom (and of course Sylvia) in one special way ~ ~ ~ TOGETHER!   When I would see him, there she was :) Always participating in everything about him. I can and will always recall what a strong and independent person he was. I have known and shared many special times together over the last decade or so with them. His toughness and her loving is something I will always remember, cherish and NEVER forget. My prayers and condolences to the entire family and friends that knew him.

The conversations and visits we've had with you and Sylvia over the last year will be missed. Even though we've only known you for such a short time you've left a lasting impact on us. We are very lucky for getting to know you Tom, and you will be deeply missed.

I was so sorry to hear about Tom. We shared many laughs and good times together. What I remember most is the way people, even strangers, gravitated to him.  Co-workers, State Inspectors, County Engineers, Private Contractors, you name it, if we met them again at a later time, it was always Tom that they looked for.  I always admired his “work ethic”.  In a mix of physical, mental, planning, and just get-it-done, he had higher standards than anyone else.  Missed but not forgotten.  Regrettably, I will be out of town tomorrow, but my thoughts will be with you.

I first met Tom while working in Juneau. Larry and I were blessed by his presence in the shop one day and really didn't know what to expect. We all became good friends in a hurry and worked many years together    
 having alot of fun along the way. I am just one of many in Tom's Alaska Family that would like to pass on our best wishes to Sylvia and Family. Jani and I feel very blessed to have been welcolmed into Tom and Sylvia's family. 
Over the years we became best of friends and the highlight of our trips south were to visit Tom, Silvia and family at their home in Lacy. We spent many hours laughing, joking and talking about friends (when they weren't there to defend themselves) and when we got tired of that we would pick on each other. I will forever cherish those times I spent with Tom.
Seldom did we have a serious conversation we were always laughing or expounding our brilliance obout something but nobody listened. On our last evening togeather we did have one of those rare serious talks. Sitting on the back deck waiting for those banna splits to be built, i asked Tom if he wished he'd have been born rich intead of so damn good lookin. He said he wasn't sure but felt sorry for me to have neither. We both agreed that indead we are both rich with love of family and that is what true wealth is. He was so very proud of his family and his family  always repaid him with the love he deserved. What I'm trying to say is Tom was very happy with his lot in life and loved you very much. 
Jani and I will be at the service on Friday and looking forward to seeing you all. All of us on this site share a comon bond and that is love of Tom and his family. I would like to speak at the service but I think I'll be a little to emotional. I wouldn't want Tom to see that, I plan on meeting up with him again and wouldn't want him to be one up on me. Tom would like us to be joyous and celebrate his life so lets do it for him.

You and Sylvia welcomed me as family when Tess and I became friends back in high school, and you were the Dad I always wished I had. I love you and will miss you.

I remember when Sylvia and Tom met - Sylvia and I were Seniors in High School.  It seemed it was 'love at first sight'.  They created a wonderful life and family together.  My prayers go out to you Sylvia, and your family during this time of grief.  God Bless you.   Shirley Czerwonka

You were loved by so many Uncle Tom. I will always remember the fun loving man with the wide smile!! I was so hoping to see u again when I come in August but that was not ment to be...so I will remember the great times we had. To a man loved by so many, you will be missed.  Uncle Tom will remain alive in our memories forever. He has given so many people good memories to hold on to forever.  Our family will always be here for you, even just to tell stories and enjoy his presence as we laugh and cry, or to lend an ear to allow the healing of the loss.  All my love and love from my family to yours.

Celebrating a life well lived with his beautiful wife Sylvia.  I've only known Uncle Tom for 16 years and fortunate able to hear some incredible stories from his past. Wonderful......I'm sure Aunt Sylvia will share more........Love you so much and Thank you Thank you Thank you.
