Anthony "Tony" Gerald Aguirre, age 62, of Modesto, California passed away on the evening of Monday, August 24, 2020. Tony was born November 21, 1957 in Bakersfield, California to Antonio and Rosalie Aguirre.
Tony, from a young age, was gifted with “The Mind of Minolta”. He loved technology and building things. As a child, Tony loved making toys and inventive contraptions with his siblings. This passion eventually led to Tony becoming a Microwave and Fiber Optic Technician after graduating from Earl Wooster High School. Class of 76! As an adult/Father, Tony obtained his graduate and post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University. Class of 93! After College, Tony moved on to Robotics and became a Field Engineer. During his years as a Field Engineer, Tony traveled around the world working where he was needed. Some of his favorite assignments took place in Germany and Japan. Tony even had a hand in the manufacturing process of Sony’s PlayStation 2, the world's most successful Home Entertainment System. Between Engineering and Fatherhood; Tony loved socializing, dancing, and playing music with his family and friends. Tony loved family, especially his parents, and by extension, Tony loved the Holidays. Though Tony was a man of science, Tony also was a man of God. Tony loved the Bible and Christmas. Christmas brought the Lord into Tony’s heart, while Halloween brought out shrieks of freight, as Tony loved to “Trick” the unsuspected while they were “treating”. Tony was both a playful and methodical man, and thus also loved Chess, shooting Pool, and Fishing on his spare time. When it came to free time, there were few activities that Tony loved more than watching Star Trek, old Westerns, 80's action films, and the San Fransico 49ers. Tony was a special man, a man loved my many. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
