Antonio S. Lima, 77, of Modesto, California passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was born on June 20, 1941 in Santa Luzia da Angra, Terceira, Açores to parents Maria Conceição Lima and Manuel Vieira Lopes.
At the age of 21, he served in the Portuguese Army for three years. He immigrated to the United States in 1966, where he spent 43 years as a Dairyman. After retiring in 2008, he traveled every year back to the Açores to enjoy his birthplace.
Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Conceição Lima and Manuel Vieira Lopes, as well as his brother, Manuel Lopes.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Maria Lima, daughter Rosemary Lima Willett (Kevin); son Anthony Nelson Lima (Siouxsie); granddaughter Madeleine Rose Willett and step grandson, Bryan S. Willett.
A visitation for Mr. Antonio S. Lima will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. There will be a funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church: 19399 CA-120, Ripon, California. He will be laid to rest following the service at St. John's Catholic Cemetery: 17871 Carrolton Road, Escalon, California.
