Antonio Fernando Maciel, age 78, of Los Banos, California entered into rest at his residence on Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born December 21, 1942 in Rosais, São Jorge, Açores to Laura Maciel and Antonio Reis Maciel.
Antonio is survived by: son Jose A. Maciel (Mattie) of Colorado; son Avelino Maciel (Anateresa) of Gilroy; and daughter Gina Maciel of Los Banos; brother Alduar Reis of Los Banos; brother Armando Maciel of Los Banos; brother Eduardo Macial of Los Banos; brother João Maciel of Watsonville; brother Manuel Maciel of São Jorge; brother Mario Maciel of Moss Landing; sister Rafaela Sequeira of Los Banos; sister Leonesa Azevedo of Watsonville; sister Victoria Rocha of Aromas; sister Alda Morrison of Morgan Hill; Brother and sister in law Antonio and Honoria Cardoso of Santa Clara, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews throughout California. Antonio was also survived by by six grandchildren; Vincent, Isabel, Hope, André, Aliana, and Alexandré Maciel.
Antonio was preceded in death by: his wife Niveria Maciel on December 3, 2017; father Antonio Reis Maciel; mother Laura Maciel; and brother Horacio Reis.
Mr. Maciel was a member of Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine, California and the choir of the same church.
Pallbearers are: Ted Maciel, David Maciel, Jerry Sequeira, Albert Cardoso, Michael Rocha, Joe Reis, and Jonathon Maciel.
A Visitation for Antonio will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Avenue, Gustine, California.
A Recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Avenue, Gustine, California.
A Committal Service will follow at Los Banos Cemetery, 16575 Center Avenue, Los Banos, California.
