Barbara Ann Peichoto, beloved aunt, cousin, godmother, friend, and devoted member of the community, entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2026, in Turlock, California, strengthened by the grace of the Sacraments and the hope of the Resurrection.
Barbara was raised in Patterson, California, where she graduated from Patterson High School and later attended business college. She began her career at Patterson Frozen Foods, where she worked for 38 years until retiring.
Barbara was known for her deep intelligence, sharp sense of humor, and an expansive heart marked by unwavering loyalty to those she loved. As an aunt and godmother, she embraced her vocation within the family with seriousness and joy, offering guidance, steadiness, and enduring care. She lived a quiet but steadfast faith, attentive to the needs of others and constant in charity.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Angelina Mary Peichoto and Manuel Peter Peichoto, and her sister, Dianne Elaine Peichoto. May they rest in peace.
She is survived by her nephew, Vincent Barletta, who carries forward her memory with deep affection and gratitude. She also leaves behind her two godchildren, Jimmy McNatt and Teresa Reyna, who will cherish the many memories they shared with her from childhood until her passing, as well as many dear friends whom she considered family.
Barbara had a lifelong passion for sports, public life, and travel. A devoted San Francisco Giants fan and avid follower of professional tennis, she followed her favorite players with enthusiasm and delight. Early in life, she was inspired by the ideals of Robert F. Kennedy, whose vision of justice and service resonated deeply with her. She also loved to travel and encountered the wider world with curiosity and openness, visiting Israel, Hawaii, and Australia.
Above all, Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, her wit, and the depth of her care for others—virtues that reflect a life shaped by faith, hope, and charity. Commending her soul to the mercy of God, her family takes comfort in the assurance that death is not an end but a passage to new life in Christ.
Funeral services will be private. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Sister Margaret and the entire staff at St. Thomas Retirement Center for their kindness and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Center, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or St. Thomas Retirement Center.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
