

Cynthia Denise Simpson
November 21,1957 ~ July 6, 2010
Was the first child born to Rev. Joseph H. Pierce and Clatie B. Pierce. She went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2010, and was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
Cynthia was raised in Menlo Park with her younger siblings. She attended Bell Haven in Menlo Park, and graduated from high school in 1975 from San Carlos High. She was a member of South Bay Church, where she attended and went to bible study faithfully.
In 1977, Cynthia joined in holy matrimony with Kelvin Joe Dorsey. From this union, there were three children born. This union ended after 9 years of marriage. In 1988, Cynthia met and fell in love with her current husband Fernandez "Ray" Simpsom.
The two were married and began their lives in 1988 when they moved from Menlo Park to Fremont. In 1993, the family moved
to Newark, CA. From this union, the two adopted a child.
In 2001, Ray and Cynthia moved once more to Turlock, CA. She worked for the City of Ceres for five years before she returned to school. She attended the Intitute of Technology from May 2009 to February 2010. Cynthia managed to stay on the dean's list throughout her schooling.
Cynthia was a great wife, loving mother, caring friend and a blessed motivator. She attended church regularly at Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock, CA. She always had some kind words to say whenever one felt low. She would motivate, encourage and up lift those who felt unloved or unwanted.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Ray Simpson; her four children: DeShawn Marie Holder, Devin Deshaun Dorsey, Kelvin Joe Dorsey, Jr. and Sherrae Evette Dorsey; seven grandchildren: Quialah Holder, Zemiah Patterson, Roderick Carrol III, Trestin Patterson, QueenSia Moiwa, Princess Samae Moiwa and Mercy Thompson; two sisters: Griselda Green and Rochelle Pierce and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, along with nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by the numerous people who's lives she touched.
