Fred graduated from San Francisco State College in 1952 with a Bachelor's Degree in education. He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1943 and served until 1946. Fred went on to teach multiple subjects at Turlock High School from 1953 until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and reading.
Fred is survived by his daughters Marie Grimes of San Francisco and Ruth Enero of Ceres; his grandchildren Jean Rice of Petaluma, CA, Kate Livingston of Boulder Creek, CO, Nicholas Enero, David Enero (Nataly) and Alex Enero all of Ceres, CA, and Richard Enero of Yosemite, CA, his great grandchildren Scott Niles, Anika Niles, Jaslyn Enero, Ivy Enero, Aiden Enero, Philip Enero and Zoë Livingston.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Rita (Guinasso) Antroll; his son-in-law Robert Grimes and his son-in-law Jean P. Enero; his mother Mabel Viola (Antroll) Lowrey and his step-father Irwin H. Lowrey.
A visitation for Fred will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380. Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, CA 95380.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul homeless outreach of St Stanislaus Church 709 J St, Modesto, CA 95354.
