On Wednesday, October 19, George passed away at the age of 94 in Hughson, CA.
George was a long-time member Native Sons of California, VFW in Turlock, the Moose Lodge of Turlock, Boy Scouts, the American Legion, and his carpenter's union.
He is survived by his daughter Georgene Silva of Turlock, his 3 step-daughters: Gerri Gorney of Portland, OR, Pat Egan of Modesto, and Bette Casaus of Modesto, his brother Keith Handy of San Leandro, and his granddaughter Shawna Silva Myers of Sallisaw, OK.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock CA.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, noon, at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias.
