Joao Dinis Amaro Neves

November 22, 1931 – August 08, 2016

João Amaro Neves, known as “Dinis” was born in Vila de São Sebastião, Terceira Açores and passed away peacefully on August 08, 2016 in Gustine, CA at the age of 84. He is survived by; his wife Maria Martins Neves of 58 years, his daughter Ana Maria Coelho and husband Ilberto Toste Coelho and grandson Michael Coelho of Gustine, CA. Two brothers Antonio Neves and Wife Irene of Canada, Jose Neves and wife Anina of Terceira, Açores. Two sisters Frances Couto and husband Joe of Willows and Mary Leonardo and husband Jorge of Gustine. One Sister in law Eugenia Neves of Canada as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Neves is preceded in death by his parents Alfredo Amaro Neves and Maria Vaz Dinis de Couto, his brother Francisco Neves, Sister Lucia Cuhna and brother in law Joaquim Cunha. João was a parishioner of Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. He will be dearly missed by all the lives he had touched.

His services are as follows:

Visitation: Monday August 15, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service 286 W. Main St. Turlock, CA 95380.

Combined Rosary and Mass Tuesday August 16, 2016 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Miracles 370 Linden Ave, Gustine, CA 95322. Interment directly following at Hills Ferry Cemetery District 1334 W. Stuhr Rd, Newman, CA 95360.
