Joaquim V. Ferreira

Mr. Joaquim V. Ferreira, age 54 “Entered into Rest” on Tuesday, June 9th at his residence in Modesto, CA with his family by his side. Mr. Ferreira was born in Ribeirinha, São Miguel, Azores and has lived in Modesto for 24 years. He was a Dairy Milker for 22 years and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Modesto. Mr. Ferreira is survived by his wife of 27 years, Maria Ferreira of Modesto; Son – Nelson Raposo Ferreira of Modesto; Two Brothers – Salvador Ferreira and Mariano Ferreira, both of São Miguel, Azores. He was preceded in death by his Son Jorge Ricardo Raposo Ferreira on June 7, 1994 and his Parents – Eugenio and Geraldina Ferreira.

Services: Visitation – Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Chapel. Funeral Mass – Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Rd., Modesto, CA at 9:30 a.m. Interment – following the Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Dr., Modesto, CA.
