Joe L. Sousa

Mr. Sousa at the age of 80 passed away at his residence in Turlock surrounded by his family. He was born in Pedro Miguel, Faial, Azores and has lived in Turlock the past 50 years. Mr. Sousa was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock and the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles of Gustine and was Past-President of Turlock Pentecost Association 1973-1974.

Survivors: Wife - Leontina Sousa of Turlock; Son - Joey Sousa and his wife Janiece of Turlock; Daughter - Maria F. Faria and her husband Carlos of Turlock and Daughter - Leonette M. Andre and her husband Manuel of Hilmar. 4 Grandchildren; Kristy Faria, Jamie Faria, Jordan Sousa, Jadyn Sousa of Turlock and

1 Great Grand-Daughter; Madison “Faria” Kimoto. 2 Sisters; Evelyn Silva of Tracy and Maria da Rosa of Canada.

Vigil & Holy Rosary; 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock.

Funeral Mass; 11:00 AM, Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock.

The burial will be held at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA
