John P. Tyler

Mr. John P. Tyler, age 54 “Entered into Rest” on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Kaiser Hospital in Modesto. Mr. Tyler was born in Modesto, later in years moved away and then returned and has lived in Modesto for 33 years. He was employed as a Salesman for Gallo Winery for 25 years and enjoyed spending time with family, especially family road trips. Special Hobbies was playing guitar, collecting model trains and guitars and coaching little league in Hilmar, CA for 14 years and he was a leader of Mt. View 4H .

Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife of 10 years, Michelle Tyler of Ceres, CA; Son – Matthew Tyler of Ceres; Four Daughters – Sarah Tyler of Brisbane Australia, Kayla Tyler of Modesto, CA, Eloise Stevens of Ceres and Elizabeth Stevens of Ceres; Grandson – Sylas Tyler-Ramsey of Modesto Two Half-Brothers – Tom Tyler and Steve Tyler, both of Turlock, CA; Sister – Athena Orosco (Richard) of Hilmar; Three Half-Sisters – Lucille Green of Sacramento, CA, Becky Dentler and Sandy Tyler, both of Modesto.

Preceded in Death by: His Mother Wanda Moore on Nov. 1, 2013.

Services:

Visitation – Friday, January 31, 2014, 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA.

Funeral Service – Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel.
