Johnnie Ann Jones, age 88, of Modesto, California passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was born July 16, 1930 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and has lived in Stanislaus County for eighty-five years.

Johnnie is survived by: son David Jones (Mary) of Atwater; daughter Martha A. Ward (Michael Goddard) of Portland, Oregon; brother William Locke Evans of Arizona. Mrs. Jones also leaves nine grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren to honor her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband C.M.S.G.T. John Paul Jones in 1997, daughter Kellie Sherwood in 2018, four sisters, and two brothers.

Johnnie was a parishioner of Trinity Baptist Church in Modesto, California as well as a librarian and preschool teacher for the church. She also loved painting.

There will be a celebration of life held for Mrs. Johnnie Ann Jones at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church: 1346 Ronald Avenue, Modesto, California.

Services for Johnnie Ann Jones are in the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD504) in Turlock, California.
