Jose F. Arellano

Mr. Jose F. Arellano, age 79 of Modesto “Entered into Rest” on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, with his family by his side. He was born in Torrecillas, Michoacan, Mexico and has lived in the Modesto area for 59 years, working as an Agriculture Laborer for 50 years. Mr. Arellano was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Modesto and enjoyed farming, horses and especially spending time with his family. He is survived by: His Wife of 59 years, Heraclia Cruz de Arellano of Modesto; Four Sons – Jamie Arellano and his wife Elidia Pulido of Mexico, Fermin Arellano and his wife Armida Naranjo of Modesto, Jose Arellano and his wife Maria L. Arellano of Ceres and Froylan Arellano of Mission, Texas; Two Daughters – Fidelia Games and her husband Daniel Games of Indian Town, Florida and Margarita Fuentez and her husband Rogelio Fuentez of Livingston; Two Brothers – Selso Arellano of Mexico and Valeriano Arellano of Ceres; Three Sisters – Ofelia Arellano of Delhi, Ermila Arellano of Ceres, Anguelita Arellano of Ceres and Juana Arellano of Modesto; 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Services: Visitation – Monday, June 23, 2014 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock. Combined Rosary and Funeral Mass – Tuesday, June 24, 2014 – Rosary at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass. Internment – Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Panteon Municipal de Churintzio, Michoacan, Mexico.
