Jose is survived by his daughter Judy Freitas (Johnny) of Fruitland Idaho; his son Manuel Brasil (Roxana) of Turlock California; his brothers Jim Brasil (Rosa), Fernando Brasil (Debra), Bill Brasil (Brenda), Carlos Brasil and his sister Noelma Console (Chris).
Jose also leaves behind his five granddaughters Brooke Freitas, Brie Freitas, Jayda Brasil, Kaylani Brasil, & Paige Freitas to honor his memory.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Louisa Brasil, his sister Judite Brasil, his brother Helder Brasil and his granddaughter Sydnie Freitas.
Jose came to the United States in 1973. Jose Became a father in 1979 when his daughter Judy was born and then a few years later in 1981 had his son Manuel. Joe worked for the Espinola Dairy in Chowchilla and then went on to work for Betschart Dairy in Modesto California for many years, from there he worked for the Wickstrom Dairy in Hilmar California where he retired. After he retired he settled in Stevinson California. Joe was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed going to Portuguese Festa’s where he could socialize and dance the night away with his friends and family. He also enjoyed getting together with friends and family to play a game of Sueca and occasionally break out his harmonica for some entertainment. Joe will be missed and his children hope that he left this world knowing that they loved him and that he’s at peace.
A visitation for Jose will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main Street, Turlock, Calkifornia, 95380.
A Rosary followed by a Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 Walnut Avenue, Turlock, California, 95380.
A Committal Service will follow the Funeral Mass at Sunnyside Cemetery, 20085 3rd Avenue, Stevinson, California, 95374.
Serving as pallbearers are Jim Brasil, Fernando Brasil, Devin Brasil, Christopher Brasil, Chris Console and Johnny Freitas. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Bill Brasil.
