José Luis De Melo, age 72, of Livingston, California passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. He was born January 28, 1947 in Biscoitos, Calheta, São Jorge, Açores to Emilia Matos and Albano de Melo.
José is survived by his wife Maria F. Melo of Livingston, son John A. Melo of Livingston, sister Maria Azevedo of Turlock, and sister Leijia Melo of Ceres. Mr. De Melo also leaves two nieces, brother-in-laws, and cousins to honor his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emilia Matos and Albano de Melo.
José was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, California.
A visitation for Mr. José Luis De Melo will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. During the visitation, there will be a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will occur at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest following the service at Winton Cemetery District: 7651 Almond Avenue, Winton, California.
