José "Joe" Rocha Machado, age 91, of Los Banos, California passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Joe was born in Ribeirinha, Terceira, Açores to Adelaide Candida and João Da Rocha Machado.
Joe is survived by his son Joseph Machado (Teresa); and his daughter Filomena Machado all of Los Banos; Joe is also survived his three grandchildren Andrew Machado, Adriane Machado and Antoinette Burke and great grandbaby Burke on the way.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Odilia Machado; his son John Machado; his parents and five siblings.
Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Fatima, Young Mens Institute of Dos Palos, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Los Banos California.
A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass for Joe will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1621 Center Avenue, Los Banos, CA 93635.
Following the Funeral Mass will be a Committal Service at Dos Palos Cemetery, 1800 Elgin Avenue, Dos Palos, CA 93620.
Serving as pallbearers are, John Machado, Agnelo Rocha, Fernado Rocha, Tony Castro, Andrew Machado and Adriane Machado.
Serving as honorary pallbearer is, Antoinette Burke.
