José (Joe) Militão Oliveira, age 74, of Hilmar, California passed away surrounded by his Family at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, on Friday, November 11, 2022. José was born in Santo Antão, São Jorge, Açores, to Ana Margarida Bettencourt Oliveira and José Borges Oliveira.
José (Joe) is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maria Oliveira, his daughter Ann Oliveira, her children Aiden and Christian, his son Joe Oliveira Jr. (Marilena) and their children Morgan, Joseph and Madison all of Hilmar. José is also survived by his brother Luis Oliveira (Angela) of Gustine, his sister Rosália Agueda (Luis) of Atwater and many nieces and nephews.
José (Joe) was preceded in death, by his father José Borges Oliveira and his mother Ana Margarida Bettencourt Oliveira.
José (Joe) was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar, California.
In lieu of flowers, the Oliveira Family requests that donations be made to the Holy Rosary Building Fund, 8741 Cypress Street, Hilmar, California, 95324.
A Visitation for José (Joe) will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20323 American Avenue, Hilmar, CA 95324.
A Recitation of the Rosary will occur Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 6:30 PM, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20323 American Avenue, Hilmar, CA 95324.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 20323 American Avenue, Hilmar, CA 95324. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Serving as pallbearers are, Danny Agueda, David Oliveira, Ed Agueda, Tony Agueda, Johnny Ventura and Tony Agueda.
